TAMPA, FLA. (Feb. 14, 11 p.m. ET) — During the Plastics News Executive Forum, Envision Plastics' Tamsin Ettefagh discussed what the increased HDPE recycling rate means for the industry.
In this forum video, Ettefagh also discusses her firm's EcoPrime resins, and the benefits of using markers in materials.
Ettefagh, Envision's vice president, also discussed the Reidsville, N.C., recycler's successful EcoPrime-brand recycled resins. EcoPrime is the industry's only post-consumer HDPE that has been approved for food-contact use by the Food and Drug Administration. Ettefagh touted EcoPrime's ability to bring about energy savings.
Also, during the forum, Ettefagh suggested that the market could benefit if resin makers agreed to place markers in their material that would allow for easier separation.
The forum was held Jan. 30-Feb. 1 in Tampa.
