Coperion Corp. (Booth 6463) has just finished installing a new intermeshing, co-rotating two- screw extruder at its test laboratory in Ramsey, N.J.
The ZSK 32 Mc18 model has a 32-millimeter screw and high torque. It is supported with modern processing equipment so that customers can run trials with the extruder. Torque is 30 percent greater than with the previous ZSK Mc Plus providing 30 percent more throughput.
Coperion will display at NPE the new twin-screw machine with a 45mm screw diameter, ZS-EF twin-screw side devolatilization unit and feed enhancement technology on a ZS-B side feeder unit.
Also on display will be a new horizontal fluid bed separator, which provides high-performance fines separation from pellets prior to packaging or processing. The new separator is a compact unit with minimal vertical height requirement.
