CITY OF INDUSTRY, CALIF. (March 6, 2:40 p.m. ET) — Injection molder Dispensing Dynamics International Inc. has purchased The Colman Group and its business group San Jamar-Chef Revival as part of a continuing acquisition strategy in the housewares industry.
DDI, a City of Industry, Calif.-based company owned by private industry group Kinderhook Industries LLC, has made 23 acquisitions in the past three years. The firm specializes in proprietary paper towel, tissue, soap and air hand drying systems used in public restrooms – called the AFG, or “away-from-home,” washroom business.
San Jamar-Chef Revival, based in Elkhorn, Wis., makes a variety of food and beverage products, such as cup dispensers, bar condiment trays, ice buckets and its own line of washroom products.
The companies did not disclose a price.
DDI executives said in a March 6 news release that the acquisition brings the firm key distribution networks as well as expanding its offerings. Dean deBuhr, chairman and CEO, said the combined companies also have products already in the development pipeline they can bring to market faster by working together.
