ROCHESTER, N.Y. (March 7, 3:20 p.m. ET) — Empire Precision Plastics Inc. has expanded its capabilities through the acquisition of Lightwave Enterprises Inc., a maker of polymer optics, thin film coating and diamond turning.
EPP has already moved equipment from Rochester, N.Y.-based LEI into its own Rochester operations and expects to have it operational by March 9, the company announced in a March 7 news release.
EPP is a precision injection molding company with $10 million in sales. It said the addition of LEI will add an “immediate and highly accomplished component” to production for the medical, aerospace, military and consumer products industries.
LEI's founders, Rex Fisher and Chuck Devereese will provide consulting services to EPP under a new name, Devtex Consulting Group.
