Plastics Color Corp. has launched its LiquiSol liquid color and additive systems.
“LiquiSol is not a product,” explains Plastics Color vice president of business development Tim Workman. “It's a full system designed to integrate liquid into our customers' operation, not as a replacement to color resin concentrates, but as alternatives for specific manufacturing processes.”
Advantages of a liquid system include lower let-down ratios, better thermal stability, reduced storage space and versatility in formulations, according to the Calumet City, Ill., firm.
The LiquiSol system includes analysis of a manufacturing center by the company's experts, the latest in technology such as pumps, vessels, storage and supply systems, training, and customized products for colors, multiple additive dispersions and functional and performance enhancers.
“Since we manufacture and distribute both liquid and color concentrates and additives, we have no bias either way,” added Workman.
The firm has been developing LiquiSol as a turnkey system since it acquired Polysource LLC last August. Plastics Color has added liquid production at its Sun Valley, Calif., plant and also offers the technology through its Nanjing, China, facility.
