EBERNBURG, GERMANY (March 21, 5 p.m. ET) — Wine packaging manufacturer Phillip Schneider GmbH and Co. recently purchased Pfefferkorn and Co. GmbH, a German injection molder known for its plastic champagne corks and caps.
Schneider acquired 100 percent of the outstanding shares of Pfefferkorn in the transaction.
Schneider, based in Ebernburg, Germany, manufactures wine and champagne products like bottle wire hoods, capsules, screw caps and Secco Cords – a natural fiber closure used in the presentation of sparkling wines, vinegar and oils. The company also manufactures machinery and shipping trays, crates and cartons.
Pfefferkorn, based in Simmern, manufactures wine and champagne bottle closures, along with translucent polystyrene cups, bottle openers and pourers.
Corporate advisory firm Global M&A served as financial advisor for the acquisition.
