MUNDELEIN, ILL. (March 22, 5 p.m. ET) — MacLean-Fogg Component Solutions has boosted its injection molding in North America with the addition of Engineered Plastics Corp. in Menomonee Falls, Wis.
Engineered Plastics Corp. will be merged with MacLean-Fogg's own Polymer Technologies business group in Whitewater, Wis., to create the new Engineered Plastics Co. unit of MacLean-Fogg, the companies announced in a March 22 news release.
MacLean-Fogg, based in Mundelein, Ill., also has injection molding in Krefeld, Germany, but that business is dedicated to production in Europe for auto suspension. The company is a long-time supplier to the transportation industry and produces linkages, suspension parts and joints in both metal and plastics.
Full details of the deal with Engineered Plastics Corp. were not disclosed. Both the Menomonee Falls and Whitewater plants will remain open with executives from Engineered Plastics Corp. overseeing the new EPC division.
Officials with MacLean-Fogg said Menomonee Falls operation brings it a wider customer base, with customers in a range of industries including water treatment and furniture while Whitewater mostly served the auto industry.
