ORLANDO, FLA. (May 2, 2 p.m. ET) — Uniloy Milacron sold two reciprocating screw blow molding machines to a major Russian dairy, Wimm- Bill-Dann Foods, the machinery maker announced at NPE2012.
The new systems, delivered in March, will enable Wimm-Bill-Dann to add capacity to make100-millileter containers and a second size, 200-ml.
The machines are Uniloy Milacron's UR Series N2N (for neck- to-neck). Wimm-Bill-Dann bought its first two UR neck-to-neck blow molders from Uniloy in 2008, right after the Tecumseh, Mich.-based company introduced the machine. The first two machines were delivered in 2009 to produce 100-ml high density polyethylene yogurt containers.
