BOLIVAR, OHIO (May 7, 3:05 p.m. ET) — Primary Packaging Inc., a manufacturer and designer of heavy-duty polyethylene films and bags, has been purchased by an affiliate of Field Ventures LLC.
The deal was announced May 7. No purchase price was disclosed.
Primary Packaging, based in Bolivar, is a portfolio company of private equity firms MCM Capital Partners of Cleveland and DN Partners of Chicago.
According to the company's website, Primary Packaging specializes in short-notice, customized orders, and serves customers in the consumer non-cyclical, industrial, insulation, lawn and garden and animal products markets.
Field Ventures is a private investment firm based in Northbrook, Ill. It is owned by Larry Field, the former owner of paperboard packaging manufacturer Field Container Company. Field Container was purchased by Altivity Packaging LLC in 2006.
Primary Packaging was advised by Chicago-based financial services firm Mesirow Financial.
