AUBURN HILLS, MICH. (May 7, 2 p.m. ET) — US Farathane Corp. has begun hiring for its newest plant, in Austin, Texas.
The Auburn Hills, Mich.-based company is set to bring 228 jobs to Austin by the end of 2014, according to documents filed with the city of Austin. The facility will injection mold auto parts for USF's customers in the region.
Officials for USF were not immediately available to discuss the new site, but the company and city officials in Austin first discussed plans for the facility in late 2011, with the city providing $212,000 in tax incentives to help finance the project.
The company is now accepting applications for machine operators, supervisors, material handling specialists and a variety of other posts in Austin. The site is only the second outside Michigan for USF, which also has a plant in Jackson, Tenn.
