How is the plastics industry recovering from the Great Recession? Pretty well, according to Troy Nix, executive director of the Manufacturers Association for Plastics Processors. Craig Carrell from Team 1 Plastics in Albion, Mich., today posted a video interview with Nix about the state of the plastics industry. Nix draws on a recent survey of MAPP plastics processor members in his answer that echoes the often-used political line, "Are you better off today..." A strong majority of companies say they're better off now, and even more say they anticipate significant growth in the next 12 months. So the message is very optimistic. Watch the video below for more insight. Thanks for sharing the video, Craig and Troy. And for more background, see this recent story from Plastics News, "Recession preps auto molders to face tsunami," which draws from presentation that Craig gave at a MAPP meeting in October.
