KraussMaffei Berstorff offers a flat sheet extrusion system that, according to the company, can make ethylene-vinyl-acetate sheets at a high velocity with a width of more than three meters.
EVA sheet is used in photovoltaics for solar panels, laminated safety glass and other applications, according to Bernd Poltersdorf, head of sheet and board extrusion at KraussMaffei Berstorff in Hanover, Germany.
The company's EVA extrusion systems make sheet with optimal visual properties, return for edge trimming and low shrinkage.
The KraussMaffei Berstorff sheet lines have a twin-screw extruder and a special downstream unit. Engineers have filed for a patent on the downstream unit, developed specially EVA sheet.
