How far will supporters go to make their point? How about standing for 17 hours on a paddleboard, on a 48-mile trip from Bimini to Miami? Bill Whiddon and Thaddeus Foote plan to make the trip on Saturday, according to Steve Waters' Outdoors blog on Sun-Sentinel.com. The trip is part of the Surfrider Foundation's Rise Above Plastics campaign, which has been working hard to get bans and taxes on plastics bags.
