Wittmann Battenfeld Inc. introduced the W831 model linear robot, designed for mid-sized injection presses, typically in the range of 500 tons of clamping force.
The W831 can be equipped with vertical strokes of 40 inches, 48 inches and 56 inches. Where up to 48 inches of vertical stroke is supplied, the maximum payload has increased to 26 pounds.
The horizontal stroke starts with 80 inches for standard configurations. It can be extended up to 200 inches. By lengthening the Z-axis to 200 inches, for example, you can mold the robot in an L-configuration, for possible clamp-end placement of the parts, according to Wittmann Battenfeld.
Wittmann Battenfeld is based in Torrington, Conn.
