ACS Valves of Caledonia, Ontario, said its AeroFlow series of rotary feeders uses a dual-induction endplate design to introduce pressured air from both endplates into the rotor pockets that carry process material.
According to ACS, the high bulk-density material, when mixed with air, is released more effectively from the rotor pockets, and is introduced to the pneumatically conveyed material flow.
Aero-Flow's dual-induction design speeds the material fluidization process, improves material consistency and cuts energy consumption compared to a conventional, single-induction designs. An available variable frequency drive modulates the feeder speed, to further reduce power requirements to match the fluctuating performance needs of the unit.
