ROCKVILLE, MD. (July 19, 1:15 p.m. ET) — Global demand for polyurethane will rise at a 5.8 percent average annual rate to 2016 from 2010, according to a business analysis company.
GBI Research said consumption of urethanes should hit 16.9 million tons by 2016. The firm said much of that growth is coming from the Asia-Pacific region — about 60 percent of all demand.
The forecast is part of a report from GBI Research titled “Polyurethane Global Market to 2016—Growth of Rigid and Flexible Polyurethane Foams in Asia-Pacific to Drive Global Demand.”
