Milwaukee injection molder Pereles Bros. Inc. is partnering with Chirch Global Manufacturing Network LLC, an organization that allows small and midsized manufacturing companies to collaborate and reach a more diverse customer base.
“We hope to get more quotes and at the same time provide a single source [to the customer],” said Ted Muccio, president of Pereles Bros., in a telephone interview.
Chirch Global Network, based in McHenry, Ill., consists of 15 manufacturing companies in the Midwest. Overall the network's companies have more than 1,200 employees, more than 925,000 square feet of factory and warehouse space, and annual sales of more than $200 million.
Each member continues as its own entity, but the partnership provides a marketing and quoting arrangement for customers.
Muccio said network members have similar business philosophies, ethical operational practices and standards.
Other members include tool-and-die, metal-stamping and fabrication companies.
Each company can handle business that comes its way, and they also can bring in partners as needs are determined. Customers also can get quotes through Chirch.
Pereles, which started in 1925, designs and develops products for OEMs. Key end markets include medical, food service, housewares, automotive aftermarket, electrical, power tools, and lawn and garden.
The molder has 80 employees, with 32 injection presses with clamping forces of up to 725 tons, Muccio said.
Pereles also does insert molding, overmolding and two-shot molding. The company does many value-added services such as assembly and inventory management.
