CLEVELAND (July 25, 12:55 p.m. ET) — Regional business attraction nonprofit Team NEO is adding both a senior business attraction executive who will focus on manufacturing and a research associate.
Paul Boulier, the new vice president of business attraction, is coming to Team NEO from Fairlawn, Ohio-based A. Schulman Inc., where he was chief marketing officer of the supplier of plastic resins.
Boulier will focus on expanding the operations in the region of what Team Neo calls “Main Street” industries that might be considering bringing manufacturing back from overseas or otherwise expanding. He also will work to attract firms to the emerging shale oil and gas exploration business in eastern Ohio.
“Paul knows firsthand how manufacturing companies establish themselves, expand and thrive,” said Tom Waltermire, CEO of Team NEO. “We look forward to capitalizing on his insights and expertise to fortify our core manufacturing cluster.”
In addition, the organization has hired Michael Lalich as research associate. Lalich has a background in community development research and is pursuing a masters' degree in urban planning, design and development at Cleveland State University.
