Eastman Chemical Co. says its new generation copolyester provides toughness, dishwasher durability and clarity needed in Ninja single-serve blending cups made by Euro-Pro Operating LLC of Newton, Mass.
Eastman says its Tritan copolyester is free of bisphenol A and resists stains and odors. Euro-Pro needs a material suited to make smoothies and drinks, chopped vegetables, mixed salad dressings and dips. The Ninja cups are designed to be used often and resist breakage. Euro-Pro also needs a material that can be transferred from a freezer to a microwave oven without cracking or crazing.
“Eastman provided guidance on the best design for molding this product as well as support on the injection molding process,” says Ninja Kitchen product manager Morgan Handley in a news release.
