Messe Düsseldorf has selected Plastics News to publish English-language dailies for the K 2013 trade show.
Plastics News will partner with its European-based sister titles European Plastics News and PRW to produce daily newspapers — both in print and digital formats — throughout the show, which is set for Oct. 16-23, 2013, at the Messe Düsseldorf complex.
Petra Cullmann, project director of K 2013, said: “The international Crain Communications team is renowned for its professionalism and expertise in the worldwide plastics and rubber markets and will competently inform the K 2013 visitors and exhibitors with news and updates about the event.”
Tony Eagan, a Crain vice president and publisher of Plastics News, said PN has more than 20 years of experience with show dailies.
“The timely reporting needed for an informative daily is what we're best at, and our people love the challenge of always being on deadline. It just seems appropriate that the world's largest plastics trade show should partner with the world's largest plastics publishing group,” Eagan said.
PN has won national Azbee awards from the American Society of Business Publication Editors for its NPE coverage.
Journalists from Plastics News, European Plastics News, PRW and PlasticsNews.com/China will handle reporting and editing of the show dailies. Editorial staff from sister publications European Rubber Journal and Urethanes Technology International also will be on site throughout the show.
K 2013 organizers expect 3,000 exhibitors at the 2013 show.
