AURORA, ILL. (Aug. 15, 11:45 a.m. ET) — Christopher Curtin, a long-time executive at Extrusion Dies Industries LLC, is the new vice president of international sales Processing Technologies International LLC, the maker of sheet extrusion machinery in Aurora.
Curtin, a 26-year plastics industry veteran maker, will direct PTI's expanded sales development effort in all global market areas outside of North America.
Curtin was one of the owners of EDI, a maker of flat dies and extrusion coating dies in Chippewa Falls, Wis., since 2003. Nordson Corp. bought EDI in May.
He joined EDI in 1996 and has held a number of positions, including international market development manager, director of marketing, executive vice president of sales and marketing and most recently, vice chairman of commercial activities.
Before joining EDI, Curtin worked for 10 years at Davis-Standard LLC, serving as international product manager for the company's sheet extrusion system product line.
He holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Connecticut, as well as technical training through an associate in electrical engineering technology.
