HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. (Aug. 28, 11:30 a.m. ET) — Sabic Innovative Plastics' Polymershapes distribution unit has opened a new location in Fairfield, N.J.
The Fairfield site will deliver better and faster service to customers throughout northern New Jersey, providing them with a wide range of plastic sheet, rod, tube and film materials, officials with the Huntersville, N.C.-based Polymershapes unit said in an Aug. 27 news release. The site covers 18,000 square feet and has basic fabrication equipment.
Fairfield was identified as “a preferred location” because of the strong base of accounts in the area and the potential for new growth with other local businesses, officials added. Polymershapes now has more than 70 branches in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Chile. Pittsfield, Mass.-based Sabic IP is a unit of global plastics and chemicals firm Saudi basic Industries Corp. of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
