WINTERTHUR, SWITZERLAND (Aug. 28, 11:30 a.m. ET) — Autoneum Holding AG and Nittoku Tokushu Toryo Co. Ltd. have signed a memorandum of understanding with Toyota Boshoku Corp. to collaborate in developing interior systems for hybrid vehicles.
The companies said they will focus on car interiors, acoustics and thermal management. Interior system products will include headliners and door trim, carpet and dash silencers, damping, engine encapsulation and under-body solutions, the companies said in a joint Aug. 28 news release.
Autoneum is headquartered in Winterthur; Nittoku is based in Tokyo and Toyota Boshoku is headquartered in Kariya, Japan.
According to the release, the key benefit to cooperating lies in the full systems approach to soundproofing technology.
