FRANKFURT, GERMANY (Jan. 9, 11:15 a.m. ET) — Styrolution Group GmbH has created a new business unit devoted to its styrene monomer business. This leaves its regional business units to focus exclusively on the group's polymers business.
The Frankfurt-based company said: “These changes are aimed at helping the company achieve further value-oriented growth through an improved focus on strategic business areas and better alignment of the organization to the global and regional character of its respective markets.”
Steve Harrington has been appointed president of the global styrene monomer business unit effective Feb. 1. He is currently head of Styrolution's styrene monomer business in the Americas.
The reorganization is accompanied by changes in senior management at the company, which is a joint venture between BASF SE and Ineos Group.
Kevin McQuade has been appointed president, Europe, Middle East and Africa effective from March 1. He currently serves as president, Americas at Styrolution. He will continue to lead the Americas' polymers business on an interim basis until his successor assumes his new role in June.
Alexander Glueck will become president, Americas from June 1. He is currently the group's senior vice president, global strategy, R&D, and procurement.
The three individuals will serve in their new roles on Styrolution's management board.
