KraussMaffei AG has reorganized its reactive process machinery division, which makes systems, mixing heads and other equipment for polyurethane processing.
Starting in August, KM's reactive process machinery adopted a business unit structure covering key markets such as automotive, white appliances and construction, division head Nicolas Beyl said at Fakuma 2012, held Oct. 16-20 in Friedrichshafen.
Speaking at the company's news conference at its Fakuma exhibit, Beyl said the move is designed to manage the range of applications the division handles.
“With this new structure, we hope to serve customers even better in the future,” Beyl said.
He said the division has experienced two-digit sales growth, but he would not reveal sales figures.
Prospects for the division are very good, he said, with the main drivers for growth in automotive being soft-foam seats and molded interior trim.
The division's sales volume in Asia is now almost the same as in Europe; North America is also a good market, according to Beyl.
KraussMaffei is headquartered in Munich.
