Objet Ltd. rolled out its largest three-dimensional laser printer, the Objet1000, at the Euromold trade show.
Objet is based in Rehovot, Israel.
The Objet1000 features a wide-format build envelope measuring 39.3 inches by 31.4 inches by 19.6 inches wide. That makes it useful for the automotive, defense and aerospace, industrial machinery, consumer goods and household appliance sectors that need to create industrial-size, actual size prototypes.
The 3-D printer combines a large platform with inkjet 3-D printing and Objet's Connex multimaterial capability.
The company also showed the Objet1000 at Autodesk University 2012 in Las Vegas Nov. 28.
Objet merged last year with Stratasys Inc. of Eden Prairie, Minn.
