Boltaron has developed a chlorinated vinyl sheet that meets Factory Mutual Global Cleanroom Materials flammability test protocol for Class 4910.
The Newcomerstown, Ohio, firm claims it is the only U.S.-made transparent CPVC material to meet the standard. Boltaron 4325 is a transparent gray/blue, corrosion-resistant sheet suited for wet laboratories and semiconductor production plants using corrosive materials.
Boltaron says the new sheet is designed for glazing windows in clean room walls, partitions and doors. It has smooth, polished surfaces on both sides. The company offers gauges from 0.1250 to 0.5 inches in widths to 48 inches and lengths to 96 inches. Custom sizes are also available.
The sheet can be post-formed, thermoformed and machined using conventional tools, according to Boltaron. The sheet can be bonded and mechanically fastened to configure to clean room structures. It has an Izod impact rating of 5 foot-pounds/inch.
Boltaron also offers a 4225 grade of bright white MF4910-rated sheet for partitions, panels, doors and other clean room-related structures.
