MUNICH, GERMANY -- The KraussMaffei Group in Munich has named a new president for its extrusion operations, hiring Peter Roos, who was CEO of Swiss extruder maker Maillefer Extrusion.
Roos, 50, will manage the group-wide activities of KraussMaffei Berstorff, which includes extrusion systems for compounding and making rigid products such as pipe and profiles. He also will act as managing director of KraussMaffei Berstorff GmbH in Hanover, Germany.
He succeeds Hans Ulrich Golz in the top spot of KraussMaffei Berstorff. Last April, KM promoted Golz to president of the injection molding machinery segment.
Roos was CEO of Maillefer for the past four years. The mechanical engineer also has held a number of executive management systems in Daimler AG for about 20 years.
"In Peter Roos, we have managed to acquire a successful and internationally experienced mechanical engineering expert," said KraussMaffei Group CEO Jan Siebert.
