LINZ, AUSTRIA -- Keba AG, the Austrian maker of controllers for injection molding machines and automation, has expanded into a second plant, for its growing business in mailing machines, automated teller machines and charging stations for electric vehicles.
Keba in January moved 60 of its 270 Linz production and logistics employees to the new location, a 54,000-square-foot building that was formerly occupied by a consumer products distributor.
Keba has invested 500,000 euros ($673,000) in the second production location.
Keba's electronics production, including Keplast controllers, remains in the main headquarters plant that totals 107,000 square feet.
Keba officials expect group sales to reach about 145 million euros ($195 million) for the current fiscal year of 2012/2013. That would represent a 10 percent gain from sales of 130 million euros in 2011/2012.
Founded in 1968, Keba now employs 806 people around the world.
