OLDCASTLE, ONTARIO — Integrity Tool & Mold Inc. is boosting its capabilities with the addition of a four-component, 1,650-ton Engel duo injection molding machine.
The company, which specializes in the manufacture, maintenance and repair of injection molds, said it is seeking a competitive edge that will increase its capabilities and provide cost-saving benefits to customers.
"Partnering with Engel and having the capabilities of an in-house multi-injection molding machine confirms Integrity's commitment as a global leader in multicolor automotive lens and multimaterial tooling," General Manager Scott Allen said in a news release.
The investment will allow Integrity to do all mold trials, including the final commissioning of the firm's molds at its Oldcastle site. It will speed up delivery as the molds will not have to be shipped back and forth to customers during the trial period.
"Integrity's new Engel multishot injection molding machine has been designed and equipped to give them maximum variability," said Ken Schad, Engel Canada area sales manager.
The machine is configured with the largest of four injection units in the standard location so that single-shot molds along with complex multishot molds can be tested on the same machine, Schad said.
The Engel press is equipped with a three-station rotary table and four core-pulls on the moving platen, plus two on the fixed platen. All have individual proportional control and full sequencing capabilities and full robot interface.
Integrity has five facilities in three locations in North America.
