NEWTON FALLS, OHIO — Custom injection molder Venture Plastics Inc. has received the Crystal Award for Excellence from Ohio's Edison Technology Centers.
The presentation was made during a luncheon held at the Ohio Statehouse in Columbus, Ohio, attended by state legislators and executives from other businesses.
PolymerOhio, an Edison Technology Center, nominated Venture Plastics for the award, which recognizes companies that have found progressive ways to compete.
Ohio's six Edison Technology Centers provide product and process innovation and commercialization services to both established and early-stage, technology-based businesses.
Venture is based at a 45,000-square-foot plant in Newtown Falls. The company also runs Southwest Venture Plastics, a 48,000-square-foot operation in El Paso, Texas, that was established in 2006.
Venture President Steve Trapp said the award is an honor. "Over the years our company has benefited greatly from our relationship with PolymerOhio, and we appreciate their nomination for this prestigious award," he said in a prepared statement.
Trapp credited employees. "This award would not have been possible without our team of dedicated, hard-working employees and we thank them for their support," he said.
