ANAHEIM, CALIF. -- Herrmann Ultrasonics Inc. showed a technology advancement and, with Oxyphen AG, demonstrated a fully integrated workstation at the Medical Design and Manufacturing West trade show, held Feb. 12-14 in Anaheim.
The demonstration consisted of transferring Oxyphen microporous, track-etched membranes — manufactured of either polyester or polycarbonate — on Herrmann's newest HiQ modular punch-and-weld (MPW) machine.
Applications in automotive, life sciences and medical can benefit from using the membranes with the Herrmann machine, according to Peter Terstappen, head of product development for Oxyphen, based in Wetzikon, Switzerland.
Herrmann, headquartered in Bartlett, Ill., is an operation of Herrmann Ultraschalltechnik GmbH & Co. KG of Karlsbad, Germany.
