CINCINNATI — Milacron LLC has created a new position of chief operating officer and filled it with Ron Krisanda — an executive of a British manufacturer owned by Milacron's private equity owner CCMP Capital Advisors LCC.
Krisanda will be responsible for the manufacturing, engineering, technology, research and development, quality, continuous improvement, and environmental health and safety for the global businesses of the Cincinnati-based plastics machinery maker.
He will report directly to Milacron CEO Tom Goeke. He will live in the United Kingdom, helping to link Milacron's operations globally.
Prior to joining Milacron, Krisanda was COO of Edwards Group Ltd., a British maker of vacuum pumps and abatement systems. Edwards is a portfolio company of affiliates of CCMP Capital Advisors. At Edwards Group, he was instrumental in driving an operational improvement program, helping to improve the company's cost position and bringing its operations closer to key customers, according to Milacron officials. He also positioned the company for growth and market-share gains.
He also has held senior management positions with Tyco International Ltd., including vice president of operations at Tyco Plastics. He started his career at Ford Motor Co. and also spent time living in Asia with Motorola Inc. as vice president/general manager of the Broadband Division.
Krisanda holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Clarkson University and a master's degree in manufacturing systems from Lehigh University.
"Ron is an experienced international business leader with the knowledge and expertise to create global operations," Goeke said.
