STRONGSVILLE, OHIO — California manufacturers representative Integrated Plastics Machinery Inc., has moved into a 6,500-square-foot building with a large technology center, and will begin assembling Yushin robots, President David Bader said.
Integrated Plastics Machinery is moving from its small 1,500-square-foot office space in Corona, Calif., to the bigger building in the same city.
"It's going to be an actual working technology center. We'll be able to do full molding demonstrations," Bader said. The facility also will handle training.
Integrated Plastics Machinery represents Sumitomo Demag and Victor Taichung (Fortune), Yushin robots, and the auxiliary equipment brands Novatec, Advantage and Rapid Granulator.
Bader explained the firm's expansion in an interview April 10 at Sumitomo (SHI) Demag's grand opening of its technical center in Strongsville, Ohio.
The rep. firm will become a West Coast robot assembly center for Yushin America Inc. of Cranston, R.I.
Christopher Parrillo, Yushin America's national sales manager, said the robots are modular, so Integrated Plastics Machinery will be able to design robot systems for molders.
Some Yushin employees will work with people from Integrated Plastics Machinery to build the robots.
Integrated Plastics Machinery employs four sales people and two service technicians in Corona.
