BKG Bruckmann & Kreyenborg Granuliertechnik GmbH said its new Optigon water filtration system eliminates the curved screen pump of the Optiline, while improving filtration.
As an option, all water systems are designed with insulation, so the heat energy is stored and not released to the environment.
Optigon uses a fraction of the Optiline and Polyline systems, BKG said.
The die plate rims have a thermal insulation, ensuring a uniform temperature profile in the flow channels and retention of heat in the die plate. The potential savings is about 30 percent compared to conventional die plates.
BKG, of Münster, Germany, uses highly efficient motors. The company's U.S. operation, Kreyenborg Industries, is in Lawrenceville, Ga.
