ROCHESTER, MICH. — Auto supplier A. Raymond Tinnerman Automotive Inc. has added injection molding to its Flemingsburg, Ky., plant as part of a $1.96 million expansion there.
The company initially planned to more modest expansion at its connectors plant, said Kentucky officials in an April 26 news release, first announcing a $515,000 expansion in 2010. However, the company moved beyond that initial investment, including the plastics operation to produce window channel guides, sunroof components and structural parts.
A. Raymond, with automotive operations based in Rochester, Mich., also nearly doubled its hiring plans in Flemingsburg, bringing in 52 employees compared to the earlier plans for 28 new jobs.
The company is part of multi-industry firm ARaymond of Grenoble, France. In addition to plastics, the company makes a variety of metal connectors.
