CANELONES, URUGUAY — Bonset Latin America SA plans to install a new production line for glycol-modified shrinkable film at its plant in Canelones.
The line will be the first of its kind in South America, and will be in production in 2014, according to Bonset America Corp. of Browns Summit, N.C.
Bonset Latin America is a subsdiary of Bonset America, which part of Japan's C.I. Kasei Co. Ltd., a manufacturer of plastic formed products including heat shrinkable film, packaging materials, decorative film and agriculture film.
Bonset Latin America opened the Canelones plant in December 2012 with one line making PVC heat shrinkable film. The company said in a news release that the new PETG line will have capacity “in excess of the currently anticipated market demand in South America for next several years.”
