GALLATIN, TENN. — Custom injection molder RCTenn LLC will spend $1.3 million to expand in Gallatin, adding equipment, floor space and employees.
The firm has several new contracts to support the expansion, said RCTenn President Rob Coleman. The bulk of its business is in housewares. It molds toolboxes for Stanley Black & Decker Inc., storage containers, pet-care items and other products.
Construction on an addition of about 20,000 square feet began earlier this year and Gallatin-based RCTenn has already hired an additional 20 employees, Coleman said in a May 16 telephone interview. It expects to hire another 25 workers by the end of the year, bringing its employment base to more than 100 people.
RCTenn also is adding a 950-ton press from Milacron LLC as part of its expansion.
