Polyolefins producer Borealis yesterday inaugurated its new 100 million euro catalyst facility in Linz, Austria.
As well as creating 35 new jobs, the facility will allow Vienna-based Borealis to improve the properties of plastic end products, such as plasticity or hardness.
"Catalysts make it possible to form plastics more precisely," Alfred Stern, executive vice president of polyolefins, said in a statement. "This of course means we can accommodate our customers' demands and requirements precisely as well, which is why catalysts play a vital role in the development of innovative plastics solutions."
