The federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration has launched an investigation into the June 5 deaths of two workers at a Dallas building that houses two plastics firms.
Officials for the companies said they were not allowed to comment on the incident.
Dallas Fire-Rescue Public Informational Officer Jason Evans said two men were killed by an unmanned forklift while they were tending to the load at the back of a truck at the facility used by pipemakers Nationwide Plastics Inc. and Georg Fischer AG.
Local media identified the men as Robert Berg, 51, of Duncanville, Texas, and Jimmie O'Farrell, 59, of Humble, Texas. A spokeswoman for Nationwide said the accident did not involve any of its employees.
