PARSIPPANY, N.J. -- Purging compounds producer Sun Plastech Inc. has expanded its office space to accommodate growth and to upgrade its communications capabilities.
Sun Plastech in Parsippany added 25 percent more office space by moving to a new area in the same building. The company is leasing the new space, a spokeswoman said in a telephone interview. The move becomes official June 10.
"This move is well-timed as we enjoyed the best sales month in our history in May," said Sun Plastech Vice President Joseph Serell in a news release. "Moving to this new office, which is equipped with advanced features, will help position Sun Plastech for future growth and even better efficiencies."
A spokeswoman said the new space improves Sun Plastech's ability to hold conferences and strengthens its telecommunications capacity. It also will provide room to add employees as the company grows. It now employs 19.
Sun Plastech, which sells its products under the Asaclean tradename, has been manufacturing purging compounds for injection molding and extrusion at Fowlerville, Mich., since 1996. Fowlerville is where sister company Asahi Kasei Plastics North America is based. The Asahi Kasei North American plastics businesses employ more than 175 and are subsidiaries of Asahi Kasei Chemicals Corp. of Tokyo. Asahi Kasei is certified under ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
