ROSEMONT, ILL. — The Society of Plastics Engineers' Mold Making and Mold Design Division has honored executives from two Midwest mold making firms for their long-term commitment to the industry.
Roger Klouda, the president of MSI Mold Builders Inc. of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, was named the Mold Maker of the Year during a special event at Amerimold in Rosemont, Ill., on June 12.
Tim Peterson, vice president of Industrial Molds Group of Rockford, Ill., was named as Mold Designer of the Year.
The awards honor individuals who have shown an ability to adapt to changing technology and provide career and technical guidance to others as well as sharing their information and experiences to others in the industry.
Each award includes a $500 award to a school of the honoree's choosing. Progressive Components Inc. of Wauconda, Ill., donates the award for the mold designer of the year while DME Co. of Mount Clemens, Mich., provides the donation for the mold maker.
