Plastic products distributor Curbell Plastics Inc. has moved its Texas operations to a larger site in Arlington.
At 30,000 square feet, the new site is 10,000 square feet larger than the previous one, which was located less than five miles away. The new location “allows [Curbell] to provide additional resources for our customers, including our increased inventory mix with additional product offerings,” officials said in a July 22 news release.
The new site has 12 full-time and three temporary employees. Curbell plans to add staff there later this year.
Orchard Park, N.Y.-based Curbell acquired the Texas business in December when it bought distributor American Plastics for an undisclosed price. That sale included American's Waggoner Plastics and American Plastics O&P units, which supply plastic sheet as well as materials for aerospace and orthotics and prosthetics.
The new site will serve North American orthotic and prosthetic customers, as well as customers using industrial plastics in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Arkansas, officials said. Curbell now operates 16 U.S. sales and distribution sites. The firm distributes plastic sheet, rod, film and tube for commercial and industrial markets.
