A project to encourage the use of nanoparticles in southeastern Europe has been so successful that the partners have announced a second stage: CarbonInspired 2.0.
CarbonInspired 2.0 was launched July 1 and was designed to help the automotive and building industries in the south of Europe, which have been the worst hit by the financial crisis, use more nano technologies.
The project partners will provide information and networking opportunities for members in Spain, Portugal and France via an e-learning platform.
The new project comes on the back of the original CarbonInspired scheme, which ended in 2012 and involved 1,300 businesses.
CarbonInspired 2.0 is being led by Spain's CTAG. The other partners are Spanish plastics research institute Aimplas, the Universidade de Aveiro in Portugal, Fundación Tekniker in Spain and Adera in France.
