Welding equipment maker Trinetics Group Inc. is now a 100 percent women owned company, after Joyce Munnings bought the company from welding technology expert David Hofius.
Trinetics makes welding systems for plastic and metal, including spin welding, infrared welding, hot plate welding, ultrasonic welding, vibration welding and heat staking and insert machinery. The custom designed machines operate manually, semi-automatic or fully automatic.
Munnings said the company employs six people. By mid-2014, she hopes employment will reach about 10.
The new owner moved Trinetics from Titusville, Fla., to Melbourne, Fla.
Davis Hofius' son, Marc Hofius, will remain with the company. He is the lead design engineer who developed the patented welding technologies in spin and infrared welding and inserting techniques.
Joyce Munnings' husband, Michael Munnings, is president. His experience includes capital equipment manufacturing, new product development and supply chain management.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
