Ferromatik Milacron GmbH will show several molding presses at K 2013 — in the modular F-Series and the all-electric series of Elektron machines.
Ferromatik's both is in Hall 15, Stand C6.
The company also will show machines at booths of its sister companies, Mold-Masters and DME.
At the K show, Ferromatik Milacron will run an all-electric F-Series press with 200 tonnes of clamping force, molding a thin-walled rectangular lid on a four-cavity mold, with in-mold labeling. Molded on a 3.1-second cycle, the lids will be removed from the mold, checked by a vision system, stacked and removed.
A second F machine, an all-electric press with 270 tonnes of clamping force, will run a rotating cube mold from Foboha molding the top and bottom of a twist-top closure. The two parts will be screwed together by automation.
A third F-Series press will demonstrate high-speed molding of beverage closures.
The Mold-Masters booth (Hall 1, Stand AS39), will show a 160-tonne F press with a vertically mounted E-Multi injection unit built by Mold-Masters. That press will mold closures on a 16-cavity tool.
K show visitors also will see a new size, 30-tonne, Elektron press — marking Ferromatik's return to the very small-press segment. The press will produce applicators for medical ampules on a four-cavity mold. A second Elektron, at DME (Hall 1, Stand C10) will mold flying discs.
Ferromatik is based in Malterdingen, Germany.
