Bekum Maschinenfabricken GmbH, the Berlin-based maker of blow molding machines, will present an all-electric Eblow 407D with a C-frame clamp design, at K 2013.
The press will mold a cosmetic bottle in highly transparent polypropylene, using a triple spiral mandrel extrusion head. Bekum's exhibit will be in Hall 14, Stand C03.
The Bekum C-frame clamping system, which the company unveiled at the last K show, in 2010, is one of the key features of the Bekum 07 series of blow molders, company officials said.
Low-friction linear guides result in efficient use of energy and precise operation with low wear. The spiral-flow extrusion head gives very uniform wall-thickness distribution, the company said.
The company's U.S. operation, Bekum America Corp., is in Williamston, Mich.
