Auxiliary equipment maker K-Tron International Inc. is being integrated with the Coperion GmbH brand.
Batesville, Ind.-based Hillenbrand Inc. already owned K-Tron last year when it bought Coperion, a Stuttgard, Germany-based maker of compounding extruders.
Effective Oct. 1, K-Tron will operate under the brand name Coperion K-Tron. According to Coperion President Thomas Kehl, the change reflects the company's ability to offer complete customized compounding systems and bulk materials handlings systems from a single supplier.
“This brand strategy will allow our customers to comprehend our globally unique range of products more easily. It also enables us to more easily utilize the forces of globalization to our own advantage,” Kehl said in a Sept. 10 news release.
