At K 2013, Illig Maschinenbau GmbH Co. KG, the thermoforming machinery maker in Heilbronn, Germany, will show its IC technology, which stands for “intelligent control concept.”
One aspect of IC: an electric servo-motor drives all movements of the machine.
Illig will run the new IC technology on two roll-fed machines at the K 2013 show — the RDKP and RDM-K series. RDM-K formers are designed to product cups. The RDKP machines turn out trays and hinged packs.
Illig also will mold amorphous PET cups on a, IC-RDM 54K press, at the rate of more than 50,000 per hour.
