Consolidated Container Co. is shifting production in the wake of a fire that damaged its Berwick, Pa., blow molding facility to ensure it does not disrupt delivery to its customers.
There were no injuries during the Sept. 18 fire, the company said in a news release. The plant employs about 100 people.
Firefighters from Berwick and surrounding departments were able to contain and extinguish the fire and Atlanta-based CCC said it is working with its insurance carrier to determine coverage for the damage and any disruption to business.
CCC will cover productions from other locations and it said the fire will not have a material effect on its finances or operations.
